I. Foreign Visitors

  1. Recipient and requirements  (Eligibility for exemption application).
  2. Attendees of the BEYOND EXPO may apply to the director of the Health Bureau of Macao for exemption from COVID-19 immigration restrictions on the grounds of “participating in an important business, academic or professional activity in Macao”
    • 1) with the beneficiary's personal identification information and the type and number of an identity document,
    • 2) with a photocopy of the corresponding supporting documents,
    • 3) with proof of having stayed in the Mainland or/and Macau for 21 days.
    • 4) The application is free of charge.
    • 5) A reply, be it approved, rejected or pending supplementary information, will be made within 15 working days after receipt of the application.

II. Visitors from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan

  1. Prohibited from entering Macao if they have visited a foreign country 21 days prior to arriving in Macao  (Eligibility for exemption application).
  2. If they have visited Hong Kong 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, they must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test performed within 24 hours and will need to go to designated places for a 14-day medical observation.
  3. If they have visited Taiwan region 21 days prior to arriving in Macao, they must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test issued within 24 hours upon boarding the plane and will need to go to designated places for a 21-day medical observation and observe self-health management measures for at least 7 days.
  4. If they have visited Mainland China 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, they must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test issued within 7 days ;all individuals who have been to Zhongshan City of Guangdong Province within 14 days after 19 July must hold a certificate of negative result for COVID-19 nucleic acid test issued within 48 hours;Those who have visited any of the cities mentioned in the attachment , are required by the Macao health authorities to observe certain epidemic-control measures.
  5. With effect from 00:00 of 31 July 2021, all persons who intend to travel on a civil aircraft bound for the Macao Special Administrative Region must hold a proof of negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test made within 48 hours that complies with the requirements of the health authorities, in order to board the aircraft.
